While lately we here at Microwave Ovens Central have been looking at a red microwave or two, we still love other microwave ovens as well. So today we have a compact black microwave oven review. We are looking at the Sharp R-230KK microwave oven, that gives only average results, although in a small and attractive box.

The Sharp R-230KK comes with the features you would expect in your basic microwave oven, including minute plus, time defrost, one touch cooking settings, and popcorn settings. It also comes with a 4 digit LCD display and interior light. Also in this package is a 10 and 3/4 inch turntable.

The Sharp R-230KK will give you average heating results. The 800 watt setting means longer heat times than many may be accustomed to. The price is a bit steep for this microwave oven, as well. In fact, the Sharp R-230KW is the same microwave with a white exterior--and $10 less.

In the end, if you are set on a Sharp microwave oven and you are set on a black microwave oven, then go with the Sharp R-230KK. Otherwise, keep looking.
